I absolutely LOVE What-a-Cake! The UT stadium cake in the photos is from my wedding and it was such a hit! It was my husband's groomsman cake and he loved it. I was introduced to the world of decorating cakes at the young age of 10. Zeda LaFerney, my pastor's wife of my hometown church was a very talented lady who created beautiful cakes. Her daughter Sonya was my friend and I would always manage to visit often...especially when I knew Zeda would be making her next creation. I'd offer my help in anyway such as washing dishes or being a gopher just so that I would be allowed to watch. As time went on...Zeda started teaching me how to make the frostings and small decorations. She even gave me my first tips and bag to practice with. Then one day....I got to go to a cake show that she had entered....and the story goes from there. I couldn't wait to make my first real cake...and I did. I've been making cakes for family and friends for 25 years and even taught a beginner and intermediate cake decorating class in Vicenza, Italy where I learned a new prospective of the European style of confections and pastries. Of course...my grandmother and mother taught me the old southern ways of baking.....with the most important ingredient....a little love! And I'm still makin' and bakin' with the help of my daughters!

Check out the awesome Predators cake for Trey's birthday. Terrie does a great job and she's cheep too. You should see her web site....www.owhatacake.com. they are amazing!!! As good as it looks, it tastes YUM too.

I loved the sad cake it was wonderful great work. Everyone you will love what a cake cakes they are fabulous I ordered for thanksgiving and christmas and mrs terri did not let down they were all my favorites!

My husband's one request for his b-day was not only fulfilled, it was far above our expectation! The attention to detail was unparalleled, we had no idea those kind of creations were possible. Not only was the cake a work of art, but it tasted great too! Thank you to What A Cake for making his birthday as special as he is!
